Questions before you book
Can I drive a city car on gravel?
No. The Agya, Starlet and Corolla Cross are for tar roads only. Most national parks and scenic routes, including Sossusvlei and the roads inside Etosha, are gravel, so choose a 4x4 for those trips.
What insurance is included?
Every vehicle comes with a collision damage waiver covering 90% of damage, with a minimum excess of N$5,000. You can see the full cover and any extra options on the booking page before you pay.
How many kilometres can I drive?
For hires of 3 to 7 days you get 200 km free per day, with a small per-kilometre charge after that. From 8 days, kilometres are unlimited.
What's the minimum rental?
Three days.
Is camping gear available?
Yes, on the Toyota Hilux double cab, Nissan Navara single cab and Land Cruiser 79, for hires of 5 days or more. The Navara 7-seat Safari has a pop-up roof.
Are there places I can't drive?
Dune driving, beach driving and hunting trips aren't allowed in any vehicle.
Can I cross into Botswana, Zimbabwe or South Africa?
There are pick-up points in Maun, Kasane, Victoria Falls, Cape Town and Johannesburg. Message us your route before booking and we'll confirm the cross-border paperwork and fees for your vehicle.
